Mika Yassur is a researcher and artist based in New York City. Their work examines political and computational genealogies of sight in relation to the built, natural, and destroyed environment.

Mika critically engages with cartography, aerial imagery, and archival research to produce works of video, sound, printed matter, and writing. Their work has appeared in CULTURED and BlackFlash, and they have presented at Storefront for Art and Architecture and Extraterritorial Studio’s conference Spectres of the Undercommons: Inhumanities in the Wake of Catastrophe at the American University in Cairo. Mika was a resident at Woodward Residency and a fellow with The New School’s Institute for Critical Social Inquiry Summer Seminar with Ariella Aïsha Azoulay.

They hold an M.S. in Computational Design Practices from Columbia University's Graduate School of Architecture, Planning, and Preservation.
